One of the best documentaries I have seen. There is a lot of realism, passion, heart, and grit to the film where Tupac Shakur (tied with Biggie as the immortal king of Hip Hop) narrates his entire life all the way till his death in this wonderful. It is creative how they use nothing more than basic interview clips to do this narration.

This is a great film to show people who don't know or dismiss out hand Tupac. At time I feel like it should've been much longer and gone more in depth. After see this it makes me want to go relisten to his music again and also hear the stuff I haven't yet. I also wonder where he'd be today were he still around and what the music scene would be and if it would be different than it is now

Anything about Pac is interesting, and even though it has it's shortcomings it's the best documentary about best rapper ever.

"Lazin and her editors have essentially made Tupac's life as accessible as possible for the so-called MTV generation, but that's not necessarily a bad thing." - Ed Gonzalez

A very well-shot and directed documentary on someone I heard of a lot but not knew much about. I'm not much interested in rap or hip-hop; but given all the proper context it was a very engaging story and Tupac was really one hell of a larger than life figure; inspiring and tragic at the same time. It was a very good decision to only use his own interviews as the background; which gave a special allure to the whole documentary.

I'm huge Tupac fan and this is the best film about his life. I love how he narrates the story through the use of old interview clips.
