Turnabout

This didn't really work? I mean, it starts out as a average rom-com, then the husband and wife swops bodies including voices. What could have been a funny scenario turns exceptionally off-putting. The funniest thing about this production is the behind the scenes talks with the Production Code enforcers which became offended by suporting actor Franklin Pangborn coming across a little too feminine. This in a movie where John Hubbard spends half the movie walking, talking and acting like a woman!!!

A fast-moving comedy that shows some promise in the early going, but bogs down once the plot device -- a husband and wife switch bodies, but not voices -- kicks in. Landis looks lovely, as always, but looks can't save this one.
