A stylish tale of yearning, representation, and experience that -perhaps too- self-consciously ponders on cinema. There is certainly a feeling of transcendence and poesis spilling from within the frame (the scene where bird escapes the cage, wow!), yet TK could've been much better with a thicker plot. A longer film w deeper characters would strengthen the mystery and magic as well. But still, one of the most promising debuts of Turkish cinema with influences from Straub-H., Jo and Ming-Liang.
