Ninja and Yo Landi are wheelchair-bound lovers and real gangstas. They live in the outskirts ofcivilization, they shoot guns for fun, smoke massive joints, and sleep in the woods. They don't have any bling to show for their gangsta cred, but the world deserves to know who they are. They're tramps, and their wheels are starting to fall off. Ninja become despondent over their vagabond existence, but Yo Landi won't let him give up. What ensues is straight up gangsta mayhem... (MUBI)

White trash outsiders in love. Dare I say this is almost touching? Strange, I know. Korine's weirdness is penetrating in ways other peoples' weirdness isn't. Hard to really put a finger on it, but that's part of why I think he's cool.

Harmony Korine and Die Antwoord is one of those matches made in heaven that you'd never expect to actually exist, but it does and that makes me happy.

This seems like something a moderately talented friend would ask me to help with. And I would decline.

It's just me with more Korine nuthuggery (see other rankings of his). You got to watch his films in a different state of mind if you want any chance of liking his shit. That's not saying the skill isn't there, but if you're not in the right mood, you won't be entertained. You know what you're getting with Korine... broken or non-existent narrative, beautiful (very underrated by haters) cinematography and a lot of WTF? This is more of the same. Gorgeous, weirdly poetic... and fucked.

Actually genuinely decent. Good cinematography, too - Korine definitely seems to need a great DOP to get him to work at his best.

What the fuck? Liked the number plates, but it's a little too weird to really like this short

Too goofy to get lost in, but entertaining, especially if you've never heard a South African accent before.

Was just recently introduced to the band, now I can't seem to get enough of them.
