Vittorio De Sica continuing to find himself as a director. Here trying your typical light European creations with a hint of drama thrown in. Has it's brings spots at the girls school, but I wasn't totally engaged in the story. The film is however polished and well crafted considering the chaos which was going on outside the studio.
