Unborn in the USA: Inside the War on Abortion

Mainly it's nice to watch a doc on the topic that isn't one-sided. Multiple sides of the pro-life movement are shown in some uncomfortable, enlightening, or excruciating sides. Rough but informative.

Maybe this was shocking in 2004, but it offers little new insight in 2011. While the film promises an exclusive look into the the pro-life movement and how they are "winning" public opinion, it focuses most of its time on the standard Christian right-wingers with graphic late term abortion signs; letting them talk, uninterrupted, about their opinions. While some of their tactics are covered, the far reaching political connections (and their deep pockets) aren't explored as much as they could be.

It is excellent because unlike other abortion documentaries it portrays the pro-life movement as very diverse, getting ride of the simple "pro-life" vs. "pro-choice" and replacing it with different views of pro-life. I would have liked to have a pro-choice view point inserted into the documentary to round it out but even without it I consider this an invaluable documentary no matter what your stance is on the issue.
