All this had going for it was a cool cover that would change when you moved it around, as was the 90s obsession with lenticular. There’s a lenticular picture of me watching where my expression goes from bored to more bored.

William Lustig and Larry Cohen are back together again for this "patriotic" slasher. While Cohen's anti-American-militarism "Uncle Sam" horror satire made for a great B-movie premise for William Lustig, unfortunately, this straight-to-video effort feels like a disappointing missed opportunity. Although low-rent genre fans may appreciate the attempt, this was something I'd love to see remade. Mostly so the wheelchair bound fireworks-burn-victim with the psychic powers can have a bigger part.

Underrated. Larry Cohen rocks. He wrote the script for this film, and as you could expect the film is very hard on american militarism. the direction and production values could have been better, but oh well, it's STV movie from the 90's, it should be expected.

Why didn't Isaac Hayes provide a funky-ass all-American horror soundtrack instead of talking to a kid about Mussolini and why his wife hid his wooden leg?

This movie is goofy, funny, and doesn't go far enough yet I was still left entertained, anyways. The kills ranged from neutered by the MPAA/lack of funds to some awesome ones, the fireworks followed by flag impalement being the main highlight.
