Under the Blossoming Cherry Trees

With the air of an ancient folk tale and Shinoda's visually distinctive style, this is a beautiful and creepy film. It's a juxtaposition that works very well. Under the Blossoming Cherry Trees is one of those films, which, at first, may not appeal, but is actually quite impressive.

Edo period kaidan with a lot of brutality and some pink - even a touch of necrophilia. It's inconsistent, but the ending is great.
