Anne Shirley & James Craig might be the romantic couple, but it's Charles Coburn who is the Unexpected Uncle (1941), and the heart of the story. A fake uncle guiding the life of two bewildered youngsters. Everything a little too simple, but the chemistry between the old guy and Shirley has is quite sweet.
