Uninvited

It's like Jaws except the shark is a cat. It's like The Perfect Storm except the storm is a cat. It's like Titanic except the iceberg is a cat. It's like Speed 2 except the hacker that sets the boat on a collision coarse is a cat. It's like Under Siege except Navy Seal turned personal cook Casey Ryback is a cat. It's like Striking Distance except Sarah Jessica Parker's horse face is a cat.

It's inexcusably bad, but in that 'crappy movie night' way we all secretly hope for. The director seemed to really like Alien but also really dislike cats, so he combined both! With added 80's aerobics ladies, under- and over-acting and no sense of shame, this is good for some confused giggles at least. Every other second the cat is onscreen you'll hear cat1.wav, cat2.wav or a mix of both. Tim and Eric would be proud.

Meow-lingly bad.

When one character says he feels less like Errol Flynn and more like Woody Allen for not getting any barely legal poon tang, I cackled so hard I think I hurt my throat. Ah, to be naive. And 1980's naive is a precious commodity, which this evil cat puppet boat vehicle has in spades.

Utterly daft, but very enjoyable. Evil cat is evil. Girls are trashy-but-cute in that special 80s way. Every moment is camply overdramatic and accompanied by some great dialogue. Watch with some beers and some friends and you won't be disappointed.

They clearly had the budget for a bigger movie (except for the terrible sinking ship model in the end). I spent most of this movie wondering what was going on with the whole businessmen angle, but it's not like I needed to know anything beyond "monster cat." Bonus points for alternate ending w/briefcase cat. Fav scenes: (1) cat coming out of cat---catception and (2) cat hanging onto briefcase like Titanic.

90 glorious minutes of people finding ways to get a stiff rubber cat puppet thrown on them. Man, naked gun ruined George Kennedy. He doesn't even do anything and I'm laughing at every scene with him.

Bad, but stupidly entertaining, & it's got Clu Gulager as a drunk wearing goofy veneers.

This was awesome in its own way, terrible in every other.

Laughably silly in every respect.

Given how silly this is, Alex Cord puts in an unnecessarily committed performance as a sleazy alpha male Wall Street criminal. Clu Gulager also has fun and George Kennedy seems to think he's in a serious movie. The younger cast aren't up to much and are out-acted by the puppet who plays the mutant monster that lives inside the cat, or whatever.

Incompetent, weird and still fun. "My blood is poison" scene is a standout. Works best with a bunch of friends as a midnight movie.

Very weird movie about a killer-cat inside another killer-cat that sneaks about a yacht. Some of the worst acting you’ve ever seen.
