It's not so much the entry, but the unlawfulness of it.

It's hard to believe Kurt Russel couldn't have handled the lash-batting Ray Liotta his ass on a steel platter, knowing how Russel escaped from New York with the president, defeated superhuman Chinese demigods, defeated superhuman Egyptian demigods, and was rebuilt as a superhuman cyborg killing machine (with a heart of gold). Wait, those things DIDN'T happen!?

Liotta really went over the top around halfway which was too bad; he overplayed his hand if his goal was to get Stowe. A better movie would be if Kurt Russell was simply paranoid. Ray Liotta should be in more leading roles. Liotta/Russell would have been better swapping roles. Multiple unit plus helicopter police response at the end for a residential alarm? Must be a white suburb thing. Fav scene: Russell confronted with a chance to retaliate against the intruder and it was all bravado.

I remember Ray Liotta acting batshit and Madeline Stowe's fucking hot ass. I re-watched and it is a so-so thriller made entertaining by the previously mentioned Liotta and Stowe and the always workman Kurt Russell.

Quite good for its genre. The effectiveness of the film hangs on Liotta's ability to convince us that he's both fixated and a genuine threat, and he does not disappoint. The arc of the film is predictable, but the events aren't altogether, and they throw in some good material that makes for ambivalence about the main characters. The unnecessary Gotcha at the end is really stupid though.

Decent enough thriller that does just enough to keep you interested, but not much more. Liotta's psychotic-cop character starts off well, but by halfway through I was already thinking his behaviour was starting to get a little over-the-top - and then it just keeps ramping further and further up it until it ends up being silly. The last 20 minutes is just ludicrous. Also, Madeleine Stowe is hot, but she has a voice like a foghorn, which is just a tad distracting.

Solid thriller in the vein of "Pacific Heights". There's nothing new here, but Kaplan's direction is very effective and the main cast does good work. Liotta is especially menacing as the cop who takes special interest in the couple played by Russell and Stowe. Not a bad way to spend 2 hours and it's a pity that Hollywood doesn't make mid-budget thrillers like this anymore.

I remember being entertained and Madelaine Stowe is one of the most underrated actresses in my opinion. And hottest.

Not really horrible at anything but fails to bring anything new and interesting to the overused plot.

Madeleine Stowe's pussy sure is big in this--and people are always stroking it. Entertaining, cheesy '90's thriller in the vein of "Pacific Heights". Ray Liotta is pretty great, actually--the movie wouldn't work at all without him. Kurt Russell fulfills his function perfectly: he was like Tom Hanks 15 years before there was a Tom Hanks (except WAY hotter)...maybe not the greatest actor in the world, but competent, appealing, and so likable. Personally, I enjoyed the double-entendre of the title.

So many stereotypes in this film, almost makes it seem like a Spike Lee film. Clever title isn't clever either.

This all rests on Liotta's performance. It is unhinged and delightfully evil. Stowe is great in the scenes she gets with him, which are quite intense and unsettle. A solid entry into the suburban-couple-gets-stalked-and-ruined genre of the early 90s.
