Has a great concept and could easily been very, very good. But, it's Hollywood, so...

Pomijaj kilka mielizn fabularnych, to naprawde dobry kawalek kryminalnego thrillera. Ciekawy scenariusz, niezle aktorstwo, tutaj brawa zwlaszcza dla odtworczyni roli glownej bohaterki. Tylko...tylko te zakonczenie jest beznadziejne i do bolu schematyczne. Poza tym - polecam.

The one key element missing in "Untraceable": mystery. Not only that, but the whole investigation leading up to Diane Lane's discovery of the killer raises serious question marks. Ultimately the plot is interesting, feeling like a 'Saw' script that got thrown out and refurbished into this tightly-wound 90-minute thriller that is creepy and absorbing, but lacking originality, or much intrigue with its killer, which is a real letdown. Otherwise, it's a completely implausible time-passer.

An original idea spoiled in the atempt to make a thriller with some hard core horror to spice it up. If they had concentrated on making it more mysterious, less gruesome it might have brough somethig new to the genre. I say we need less Saw, more Silence of the Lambs to the theaters!

A Saw inspired, "the internet is so scary" 2000's mentality clutter of a film. It's really funny when movies from this era had these crazy ideas about the internet; like, imagine over 20 million people tuning in to see people die in real-time, in 2008 no less. I love how the FBI dude made a public announcement to millions of people basically saying "Please don't go on this site, it's bad, pretty please :(", a great idea you had there.

Overly familiar serial killer film is really just SAW as a techno thriller but it is quite enjoyable, despite much of the surrounding story details being an over elaborate red herring. What is admirable is how go-for-the-throat gruesome it is at times, adding some spice to the final scenes ala SILENCE OF THE LAMBS in that we can't be totally confident that our heroine Lane will survive. Ends on just the right "cold water to the face" moment to boot.

Can someone say Cliché ? Incredibly dissapointed with it. The 'bad guy' sucked ass , and a side story-line ( her husband ) didn't make sense at all.

I miss seeing these kind of stupid and forgettable thrillers in theatres. This would just be a Netflix original now and be about an incel or something.

Untraceable's biggest flaw is that it is so cliche and so predictable that it is boring the entire movie. Rife with technical jargon that, thankfully, I understood, it made the movie almost laughable at times and I can't imagine what the typical movie watcher would think while hearing it. The murderer is uninteresting, and it all unfolds at a breakneck pace leaving little to be desired. Untraceable, in general, is wholly average.

Saw this one coming before it even started. An original idea but they didn't do anything special with it.

This honestly seems like 6 years too late for this kind of thing but I miss these kinds of movies being made and being made FOR the cinemas.

Decently plotted and decently written. Not great, but for what it is--trashy suspense/thriller--it's not bad.

This film is an example of cheap entertainment - it sells as a provoking and scary thriller film, and it may seem so when viewed through a superficial lens. Dig a little deeper and you will find there is nothing even remotely original, clever, or surprising in the film.

Surprisingly, it was quite enjoyable to watch. It has some gore and the idea of killing people shown here is sick and mentally wrong, but... it's original, isn't it? Settings are quite good, the script and acting skills are both good, too. It even has a psychological insight in the murderer's mind. The plot flows smoothly and the time passes quickly while watching. As something provoking, it makes you think about morality at some level, too. The only thing which was disappointing was the ending.

A decent premise for a crime thriller and the killings are absolutely brutal in an inventive sort of way. A solid cast too but unfortunately it lacks any form of mystery as the entire case is suddenly wrapped up in an instant. Altogether just too predictable really.

I didn't mind the concept, in a Charlie-Brooker-Lite sort of way, but all the police procedural stuff is kinda forgettable and the villain is bland.

Tries to make social commentary, but really it's just another pitiful excuse to show torture porn. I gave it 30 points because I like Diane Lane.

Falsely billed as a techno-thriller, this is just Saw-level torture porn but worse. The basic premise, that tens of millions of ordinary people will willingly participate online in the torture and murder of victims just doesn't work. This is a Hollywood nightmare scenario, where the Internet bypasses their control of what makes for shock viewing. Thankfully the real Internet has shown that people have higher moral standards than the base level this film assumes they have.

A thriller that lacks thrills, surprises and originality. I wish I got amnesia for the last 20 minutes of this movie, that was just painful. Also, the killer is really really lame.

Another fairly predictable thriller, this is my least favorite of Hoblit's films. However, it's still not a bad movie. Diane Lane, Billy Burke, and Colin Hanks are pretty reliable and this is no exception.

This is one movie that's not for cyberpunk fans, unless they are also Law & Order/CSI/NCIS fans as well. Despite the cyber message the movie tries to deliver, the lack of other cyberpunk themes makes this one movie that cyberpunk fans may want to steer clear of.

Again a movie that I had no expectations about and thus could surprise me easily. The concept worked fine for me, the kills are gory and perverted, yet don't cross the line. Still gave me nightmares though. The ending is partly predictable but ironic and fits in harmoniously. A solid and exciting movie!

Definitely made-for-TV feel about this movie. Interesting and somewhat original plot, with few surprises. Could have been the thriller of the spring, but can't get there due to its superficiality. Sad really.
