I need more time, eloboration and b&w unlike this one, to get into mood.

Undoubtedly has more meaning for Hungarian audiences familiar with the significance of the poetry of Sándor Petőfi. Without that knowledge, viewers are left struggling to identify much that is really worthy of interest.

A short where Mihaly Vig (Tarr's amazing composer, and he played Irimias) revisits some of the locations while reciting poetry by Sandor Petofi. The poetry is surprisingly not bad at all. I don't know how it sounds in Hungarian, but it translates quite well. However, seeing the locations in color isn't the revelation one might hope for, and it might even take away some of the magic. An unusual curiosity, but not something I'd return to.

I feel like I need a backstory here, something to explain this film's purpose. I recognize the main actor from Satantango, and I see this film uses some locations from that film, but I just don't understand the point. I see the actor spouting some depressing poetry in various places. And... that's about it. What was Tarr's intention here?
