The acting was mediocre at best, character development null, and the story was rather uninteresting.

Probable not the greatest take on Rudolph Valentino's life, but it certainly was pure Hollywood. Delivers the caricature of his superstar image and Anthony Dexter did a fine job looking like the latin lover in his first big role. While it takes on inspiration from real life, it shouldn't be taken serious as a history lesson. It delivers what the audience wants, and Valentino's appeal was of the romantic sort, so you get more of that than anything else in the movie.
