Vampira and Me

Considering that for 50+ years there's never been more than 8 minutes of Vampira footage (& 6 of them as a mute zombie in an Ed Wood stinker) it seems hyperbolic 2 view her as a pioneer of alternative entertainment. If anything, the absence of material illustrates the staying power of a powerful image, but the film does a nice job of making its case while documenting the life of a woman who seems to have stuck to her guns & spent the rest of her life in poverty 4 doing so.
