Clearly a problem that the major novel Vanity Fair is interpreted into only 3 reels. But 3 reels in 1911 was 3-times longer then an average movie and Vitagraph bring all their big stars for this prestige project. Including the funniest man in the world at that time John Bunny who's time was way too short. The rest you probable need to know the story to keep up what's happening. Definitely not the first source you go to even if it's the first film version of W. Makepeace Thackeray famous book.
