Vem dömer

Not what I expected from Victor Sjöström. I'm used to a more working class environment from the great silent director/actor, but this was a costume drama more higher up and not as easy to read. Didn't have the charms of many of his other films. But still deadly serious, which in a way didn't help me love it. The story was intriguing with some good scenes, but overall, for me, Vem dömer [Love's Crucible] was respectable, but not one I appreciated on the same level as most of his other works.
