There's a point where Elizabeth Peña seduces Jeff Goldblum (this is the movie you're watching) only to turncoat and try to kill him except that his Christopher Walken Dead Zone psychic touch saves him so he bursts in on Cyndi Lauper trying to seduce a sugar daddy (this is the movie you're watching) assuming she's going to be killed. Instead they go into the forest mountains to find a glowing triangle that Googy Gress doesn't or does want them to find while they leave Peter Falk to die. So, idk

I could also give Vibes a 13 out of 100 and feel completely justified. It's that kind of movie.

Cute, fun, great craic. Goldblum and Lauper do a ridiculous tango, and Nick Deezy is very likable as a character.

Vibes attempts something audacious with it's premise and cast, and largely pulls it off. It's fun to realize something like this was even made, and that it's actually pretty fun.

The BIZARRE romantic pairing of Jeff Goldblum & Cyndi Lauper is the only thing vaguely worth watching in this otherwise lame supernatural comedy.

A delightful 80s comedy that hadn't yet fully departed the realm of golden era farces (a la Airplane!). The script delivered a good number of excellent one-liners and the faux-serious gravity with which some of the gags were delivered really hit the mark. Unfortunately, by 1988 the big movie studios were well on their way to perfecting their cliche-driven, formulaic drivel that passes for comedy and the tailend of this flick is afflicted with the usual "but-seriously-folks" melodrama.
