This is a Mauritz Stiller film that's missing a few pieces. That of course takes away some of the pleasure of witnessing this Scandinavian relic. However, unless the missing scenes are exceptionally remarkable Vingarne [The Wings] (1916 would remain a very average 1916 melodrama, helped mainly by the fresh presence of Lars Hanson giving the acting some vibrancy.

Remarkably homoerotic tale of an artist and his muse. The meta storyline wrapping it is almost completely missing, which makes it kind of a frustrating watch.
