Vinni-Pukh

In 1969 the Americans sent a man to the moon. In that same year the Soviets came out with their own version of Winnie the Pooh. The Cold War wasn't so cut-and-dry as you'd like to think.

As a long time fan of the American Pooh, i was a bit skeptical, however, it didn't take long for this silly old bear and his pig friend to win me over.

This is some hilarious stuff. Winnie the pooh seems to be even more of a basketcase in rhyming Russian.

I'm not sure America's version of Winnie the Pooh would ever ask Piglet if he had a gun.

Cute, light-hearted cartoon.

A charming film.

A nice, much nicer than the American version. Vinni-Pukh tried to bet honey out of the hornet' nest. Nothing really happened but the mood was fine. Piglet helped as much as he could. Even with a gun.

I cannot help but compare this to the Disney films. However, it stands up quite well by comparison. This Pooh is quite different from the one with Sterling Holloway's voice that all of us Americans know, although he's still a bear of very little brain. Funny and watchable from start to finish

The best and the most original episode of all three. My fav quote: "Piglet, do you have a gun at home?" - "Yes, I do." :D There are many hilarious moments. I also like the animation with the credits and background's illustrated by kids/in kids' style. I think this episode can be enjoyed by both adults and children. No subs can do the justice, but if you don't know Russian then at least try listening to original voices -they're hilarious and extremely well done in terms of controlling volume etc.

Faster pace and understated animation provide a great counterpoint to the lushness and peace of Disney's approach.

Too similar to the Disney, and without the charming songs.
