An interesting character drama featuring the kind of setting and lead character we don't get to see too often on the big screen. The first half is set up really well and feels like one of those art-house films where everything just clicks. Gunnar Jónsson delivers as the unconfident loser; the supporting cast is well-balanced also. The story lost its way in the second half with conflicting ideas and too much negativity. Depressed girlfriend or paedophile suspicion - pick one. Ended well.

21 Juliol 2016 - Una història maca. No arriba a ser realista i potser ho voldria. Els personatges no estan mal retratats i ben actuats, però potser no s'hi arriba a endinsar. La música per moments m'agradava, guitarra senzilla però no el més típic, al final potser massa melodramàtica.

Well directed and acted but the story doesen't offer much in terms of originality. Some intriguing characters, though.

I bet the Icelandic tourism board isn't a big fan of this movie as it paints a quite depressing picture of living in Iceland. A lot of it rings true to someone living in other Nordic countries as well. It's quite a small film, and focuses on it's childlike main character. I felt that director Kári did a better job with his previous Noi Albino, but this one is still worth a watch to someone interested in Icelandic/Nordic cinema.
