Living is Easy with Eyes Closed. I loved making the escape with this group. Now I can't get that song out of my head.

This is quite a quirky film with some amusing moments. The characters are quite likeable in their own way, esp. the main character, who seems more than a little bird brained it could be said but yet I found myself wishing the best for him. I could relate, a little, to what he says about the importance certain music, or lyrics, can have on a person. This film's warmth and feelgood factor fit perfectly with southern Spain and the music of the Beatles. The central trio - a goofy dreamer of a teacher, a pregnant girl and a dork - are like a happy family and it matters not that their goals are so vague. Most of the subplots feel arbitrary and bolted-on, but the notion of said teacher meeting Lennon, recording his demo, and then driving all over a nasty farmer's strawberry fields is just too good to resist. Charm and weirdness triumph over plot.
