Its heart is in the right place. Almost goofy enough at times to be legitimately amusing. Joe Don Baker is typically slovenly. Despite George Kennedy's recurring joke that he's an incestuous pedophile, he still has some amusing moments, like the reveal of his character name to his doped up wife. Let's just say this was a weird one.

It spoofs Halloween, The Omen, Psycho and a bunch of other classic horror films and it's just as funny as them. Almost none of the gags land and some just keep on going and going until you maybe show a hint of a smirk for the briefest second.

As with most parodies, you really need to know what it's referencing to get the fully humor, so some stuff flew over my head. Great commitment to gags (Hitchcock, De Palma, Johnny). Glad they didn't feel the need for unnecessary gore. Fav scenes: (1) cop getting ready for work and (2) you like car stunts? Here's another one!

Death to all teenagers who have sex! They don't make R rated comedies where a father peeps at his teen daughter anymore. Starring George Kennedy, Joe Don Baker, Charles Napier and even a young Andrew Dice Clay, this is a very good second tier 80's absurd comedy... missing only a couple nice boob shots.

Like Student Bodies, which came out one year prior, this is one of those horror-comedies without any horror or comedy. With as much taste as a piece of cardboard & tacky even by 80's standards, some of its awful attempts at humor include blatant ripoffs of better material (The Exorcist, Halloween, & Psycho just to name three) & a running gag about an incestuous pedo. The characters suck, the story sucks, the jokes suck, it all sucks. There is an actual elephant in it. So. That's something.
