Wagon Wheels Westward

While not exact remakes, two 1945 westerns - Republic's Wagon Wheels Westward and Monogram's Springtime in Texas - are close enough to the plot of Universal's 1943 Cheyenne Roundup to be labeled next-of-kin versions. Republic's offering finds The Duchess and her nephew Red Ryder setting out to pioneer a new stagecoach line through the wild, rough country leading to Desert Springs, a small, isolated town. (imdb)
