Crazy and not nearly that entertaining.

Adopted from an article credited to Edgar J. Hoover himself about the famous Rosenberg-Fuchs-Gold spy ring and so made with backing off the FBI, the chauvinism is laid on meters thick on this. But if one can see past through that it's an enjoyable, tho a bit dry, procedural spy-thriller (I hesitate to call it a noir) about the workings of the FBI at the time

Some interesting elements into the investigation and the sometimes documentary feel of this noir, not to mention getting the feel of general mentality of this specific era, but it's for the most part a boring Commie hunt.
