Walk a Crooked Mile (1948)
A security leak is found at a Southern California atomic plant. The authorities stand in fear that the information leaked would go to a hostile nation. To investigate the case more efficiently, Dan O'Hara, an FBI agent, and Philip Grayson, a Scotland Yard sleuth, join forces. Will they manage to stop the spy ring from achieving their aim? (imdb)

FBI was really infiltrating Hollywood in '48, almost exposing all their investigative tools as a preventative measure. All to put fear in criminals mind. It really was the era of the Cold War and fear mongering from law enforcement. Anyway, Walk a Crooked Mile was a fine crime busting film. Louis Hayward & Dennis O'Keefe were both likable as agents, but at times it needed more action to really engage. Still, it's another good example of the realistic crime film wave that came out that year.
