This is simply the best. Look at the picture: that specific scene at the wool shop, with the dog elastically acting as living backdrop, is the first step to my humor-education. Without this film, I wouldn't have become such a wonderful, witty and fun human being. Thank you Nick Park, I owe you EVERYTHING!

Still features great animation, but "The Wrong Trousers" is waaay funnier

My favorite W&G. The shot with the sheep stacked up on a pyramid and them all falling down; makes me burst out laughing every time :]

I love the fact that Wallace's love interest is himself in a wig.

The most complex of all the W&G shorts with a much darker storyline than the previous two. The usual great humour and intricate animation remains intact, the latter taking a leap to the next level from the previous outing.

An enjoyable short that's few shortcoming are countered with some touches of pure brilliance. It's a delight to watch and I wouldn't be against seeing it again in the future.

Another claymation masterpiece from Nick Park. Entertaining to the max, with a coule of truly astonishing scenes. Ps. the terminator pooch looked really impressive.

Not quite as off the wall as earlier Wallace & Gromit shorts, but still very funny and beautifully animated.

Loses some of the charming modesty the previous two had to become overblown with a wonky story. But it's still Wallace and Gromit, in all their ('90s) glory, and like the previous two this one does have some very memorable sequences and jokes.

Starts off a little slow but ends up with those sheep being freaking hilarious. Oh my goodness that was so funny.

Pretty funny, though a little uneven. Gromit is the best part, as usual.

At this stage A Close Shave is pretty much more of the same but that's not a bad thing, just maintaining a high standard of writing and animation. There are some great moments with masses of sheep especially and Shaun is quite endearing.

My favorite of the original Wallace and Gromit trilogy. I'm not sure if it's the more skillful animation, or the more complex noir / Terminator plot, but I found it to be more engaging, and utterly delightful.

Repeats elements of the previous W&G shorts but generally does it a little better, with an excellent, kinetic, action packed finale and some great visual gags. The characters here are less one-dimensional and again, the strongest points are with Gromit's increasingly expressive face. The art direction of the film is stunning too - an intense level of detail that puts other Aardman work to date to shame in comparison.

Those cheeky chaps Wallace and Gromit always deliver an inventive adventure. In this one, Gromit's story is the stronger one as he comes under misguided suspsicion for stealin sheep. Wallace remains his affable, wafish self.

The weakest of the three W&G shorts, but it's still excellent; it just lacks the humor of The Wrong Trousers or the charm of A Grand Day Out. But to its credit, it's the most advanced and complex in terms of animation, and as evidenced by my rating, it's still highly enjoyable.

Some of the purity of THE WRONG TROUSERS is lost in favor of a story that goes humorously deeper and animation that is richer in detail. Perfectly wonderful with Stilton.

The next chapter for the cheese-loving duo looks even more polished, sports a fast-moving story and ends with a decent climax. Everything feels a little "meh" though, being a bit overly-cutesy with Wallace's romance and Sean the sheep, and with no set piece to rival The Wrong Trousers' terrific toy train chase. Another W&G adventure I'd probably rank higher if repeat viewings hadn't made me so weary.
