Warriors Two

Old school Sammo Hung ass-kicking. Casanova Wong learns Wing Chun and he and Sammo take revenge for his mother's murder. Awesome fighting.

Viewed February 7, 2022. A high-energy action comedy with a lot of inspired choreography, clever slapstick, and an intelligent understanding of how best to utilize an active camera to increase the impact of a scene. Sammo Hung cranked these kinds of movies out with seemingly effortless ease, but there is something especially appealing about Warriors Two.

The fights in this are brilliantly tense while the story is not super interesting. The quality of the martial arts is gripping enough that it holds the film. I thought the ultimate boss showdown was unnecessary, and slavish genre writing, but the electricity is still in the air.

Enjoyable early Sammo Hung-directed flick. Impressive action (especially the finale) and fun physical comedy held together by the expected training-for-revenge-in-a-town-ruled-by-thugs type plot.

This got some topnotch fast-paced kung-fu. On top of that Hung keeps the run-of-the-mill plot extremely watchable by inserting a good dose of comedy into the movie.

Nothing special, just some great fight scenes and training scenes strung along by a threadbare (even more than usual) plot..

Some thrilling vengeance fighting once it gets going.
