Way Out West

Well, less boring than other L&H films, anyway

Some good bits (such as Laurel's thumb/fire trick) but the rest of it tends to drag. I can see where people are going with finding this stuff genius, but I can't count myself among that number.

One good gag every ten minutes.

It's still Laurel and Hardy, so not that great, but at least there are some good bits to make this reasonably enjoyable. It's a little drawn out for a 60 minute film.

Only a few laugh-out-loud moments but this actually felt like a movie unlike a lot of their other films that just felt like a bunch of gags thrown together.

There are other Laurel and Hardy movies that surpass this one. It's not completely bad, but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody either. I'm pretty sure that there were no good laughs the entire way through.

Seven reels of perfect joy, with the comedians at their very best in brilliantly-timed routines, plus two song numbers as a bonus.

Dois Caipiras Ladinos estreava há 85 anos na Suécia. Quando eu era criança costumava assistir bastante O Gordo e o Magro na TV aberta, mas meio que perdi o bonde do Laurel e Hardy quando cresci, hora de revisitar, não é mesmo? Pois então, eles seguram bem uma narrativa mais longa para além dos curtas, mas acho que o humor deles ativa mais a criança em nós, como era dos Trapalhões. Box OP O Gordo e o Magro.

The great Laurel & Hardy! Classic moments. 1. Ollie drying himself on the way to town. 2. The two song numbers. The dancing one. And the pitching one. 3. The lighter! 4. Hat eating scene. 5. And the best one of all. Stan Laurel with a hot blond in the greatest bed scene ever! And so much more big, minor and barely noticeable moments comic genius. So stupid, so predictable, so brilliant like only Laurel & Hardy can do! With priceless support from James Finlayson and Sharon Lynn as the bad guys.

Best feature film with Stan and Ollie - and a fun take on the Western genre.

Hit or miss as far as the gags go, but the duo is surprisingly versatile in Way Out West, especially during the big song numbers.
