We Live Again

The story is slow moving, and the pacing is pretty bland by today's standards. In spite of this, however, the lead characters shine through as brilliant and likeable. Their trials and struggles in pre-revolutionary Russia are sincere, and the price they pay for their love is tragically realistic.

Anna Sten is good looking and she gets excellent help from Fredric March as her leading man here, but that wasn't enough for the public to fall in love with her. She just didn't have that instant glow to win them over and I must say that it's March who steals the scenes with his excellent acting. The movie and it's pre-revolution Russia theme has it's moments. Not big enough moments though. It's a fine film, but there really isn't many memorable scenes except perhaps the end.
