Wedding Season

Klişe gibi görünmesine rağmen özgün bir hikayesi var. Bunda biraz da Hint Geleneklerinin katkısı var tabii, kısaca keyifle izlenen hoş bir film. Aynı zamanda tek tük de olsa insanı gülümseten komik sahneleri mevcut.

Would be a sin to once in the history of romcoms to have a female protagonist that is not a high-strung, girl-boss, no-nonsense, ball-busting shrewd? As an academic single woman in my mid-thirties, it is NOT a mystery why academic women in their mid-thirties are single if they view men like the sole of their high-heeled shoe covered in dog shit. This movie did not empower me and I highly dislike the narrative where men have to bend over backwards to cater to the whims of women.

It's a cute movie. Not the best, but it was good in its own way. It was well constructed. The movie portrayed the struggles of a desi child and the prejudist mindset of Indian parents. Anyway, this was a good watch, and it's a movie you could watch on a Saturday night when you have literally nothing to do.
