Another God-awful British police thriller with no redeeming features. Second-rate actors delivering terrible dialogue, flatly, in drably-lit anodyne locations. You'd get more enjoyment watching four episodes of The Bill back-to-back.

A truly awful film that wins an extra star purely for being so laughably bad. Feeling like a mixture of a crappy Sunday night detective series and a lavish episode of Eastenders, Creevy's wannabe-Ritchie approach - coupled with the genuinely cringeworthy performances (Strong, Harris and Mullan aside) - create an almost astonishingly bad waste of Lottery funding, with so many individual faults I'll only depress myself further by listing them here. Imagine A Touch of Cloth played straight.

Horribly directed British film, set in London with that irritating colour filter that has been so trendy with UK directors for the last few years. Mark Strong is the only bright spot in this badly-written mess.

Despite a strong cast that does its best with a poorly developed plot, this is a smug, charmless, superficially pretty, endlessly stupid, and terminally boring film. There is a not a single character that you care about, not a single situation that has any sense of reality and quite frankly, from the moment ( just a minute or two into the film ) our "hero" tries to tackle 4 blokes on motorcycles alone, you realise you have wasted your entry fee.

Characters you don't really care about following a boring uninteresting plot. I have never seen a such a blue movie. Literally everything in this movie is blue.

Ehhh. A great cast really elevate this film. The story is fairly so what and in particular feels more suited to an American setting

The only film I ever came close to walking out of. And I sat through Top Cat: The Movie and The Devil Inside. It's not that it's awful or anything, it's just terminally boring. I wasn't interested. Don't bother, unless you really must see yet another British crime yarn.

This was not the best work I have seen from McAvoy. Maybe the worse. Also, why is this movie so dang blue?

While the plot isn't all that special, and the acting is decent but not awe-inducing, this movie excels in terms of production and style. Especially some of the shootouts looked absolutely gorgeous. Not a movie to remember for years, but a decent and fun action thriller with something extra in terms of style.

I wish this movie had some sort of punch to it but it really just delivered a love tap. Mark Strong and James McAvoy were pretty forgettable. I did like Andrea Riseborough but she left the movie too soon. The longer this film went on the more uninterested I became. Sometimes a stylish action scene would come up and I'd get excited, then my excitement was crushed by a long scene about character developments I just don't care about. This movie will be forgotten in a few years by everyone.

I thought this was a decent effort at making a high octane British action film. There are many edge of your seat moments and the performances are great from a star studded Brit cast. Unfortunately the failure to deliver a decent back story is where the movie fails. There is no real motive for good vs evil which is what this movie is crying out for. It is definitely worth your time but this wont require repeat viewing.

McAvoy and Mark Strong make this one appealing. Otherwise, I was never intrigued.

An interesting spin on a well treated genre. I've seen it all before but the fast pace and excellent cast help to elevate this thriller.

Mostly under-rated fine action flick. Has an interesting story which should pull you in, Strong is very good in his role. Some exciting action scenes in a lot of night shots.

Duller, bluer, even more predictable and preposterously accented than The Sweeney (2012).

A right royal cockney barrel of monkeys which makes terrible misuse of a great cast. Also featuring James McAvoy's magical relapsing-remitting leg.

Suffers from chronic underdevelopment in absolutely every area. The opening scene and first 20 minutes are really very promising, but the script and story quickly unravel from that point into something lacking any real substance. It's also shot with that irritating blue/grey/purple filter that certain directors both sides of the Atlantic currently seem obsessed with in order to make things look 'slick and sexy'. Still the lead cast are all good and much of the action is tense and entertaining.

Great cinematography (shame about the color grading), decent acting, mediocre direction, clichéd script, awful dialogue. And a soundtrack like they got it from a free sample site. Watch it with the sound off. Then it makes for lovely wallpaper.

Its not bad, its just...fine. Which is a shame, because it really, to me, at least, seemed like something other than the norm. The cast are good, and its always nice to see Mark Strong, but I was really looking forward to this, and its a shame how ordinary it all is under the Michael Mann neon lighting and night skies

A decent thriller that hews closer to the British crime drama mold than the American one, to its credit. The leads put in decent performances and the film does manage to surprise on occasion, though it falls short of memorability.

I wish they put as much time and energy in the development of a decent story/script as they did in the production values. It looks nice, but it is all style without substance. If you like the bike chase scene in the beginning, you'll like the rest of the film. If you notice the stupidity of it all (like I did) you better stop watching to avoid further disappointment.

It's a political thriller with all of the story elements reduced to a bare minimum, leaving a lot of action sequences and cat-and-mouse games. Those scenes are pretty engaging, so it's a shame the plot is so underdeveloped.

Automatic weapons, McAvoy whining, and Brits doing British things. Eh.
