We're No Angels

Classic comedy.

Acceptable comedy without any major lapses. Bogart's clearly the biggest star here. Joan Bennett outshined her daughter Gloria Talbott who just looked plain. Fav scene: finding out the antagonist got bit by a snake while picking pockets and the men's reactions.

bogey didn't do a heck of a lot of comedies, so this is a pretty strange movie in his catalog. as far as quality goes, i enjoyed every minute of this movie found it to be pretty funny.

So glad I finally saw this one. Another great classic to add to the holiday movies. Great casting and chemistry of the three convicts. The rest of the cast is excellent as well. Fun movie.

A strained comedy.

Was surprised how much I liked this given how much I'd hated the remake. The business with the snake goes on far too long though. Also, Humphrey Bogart literally looks like cigarette ash.

Simple, silly, clumsy. Occasionally funny.

Somewhat stagey, but great dialogue and excellent cast make for enjoyable holiday fare. One of Bogart's few comedies.

Weak humor and much feel-good sentimental drivel. Neil Jordan's "remake" (which has an entirely different plot) is much better.

They have a hell of a vocational training program on Devil's Island.

Light little enjoyable comedy. Bogart should have done more comedy.
