It's not super funny, not very exciting, not scary, but it passes the time. The characters were interesting and quirky but overall I just give it a whole big meh.

Humorous whodunnit with a werewolf. Or werewolves...oooooooohhhhh. I'll never tell. I only went about half moon for this as it throws a lot at you with only some finding a stick.

Great comedy. A great vehicle for the Richard Splett guy. My only complaint is there are a few too many gratuitous twists and turns. But good solid fun.

I'll give it a 70 mostly because it's a breezy good time. It's not especially memorable in any way. The comedy is okay but couldn't make me chuckle out loud, the mystery was enough to be entertaining. The cast worked well with each other though so even when it wasn't funny, they were still endearing. If you just want a fun little horror comedy romp, you can do worse than this.

Movies like this remind me just how difficult it is to make a comedy horror like "shaun of the dead"; company which this film desperately wants to keep. Not scary enough and not funny enough. Lead actors tried their damnest though.

It's an ok movie, passes the time. Now, as an Argentinian I took offense on the portrayal of my country as a bunch of superstitious savages. Particularly coming from a country with half of its population refusing to get vaccinated.

A perfectly cromulent little horror comedy thing. Sam Richardson and Squirrel Girl elevate their roles but otherwise nothing to write home about.

A fun horror whodunit. I have not played the game so the mystery was interesting to me even if it took a few too many fake-outs. It's very watchable. I am a big Sam Richardson fan and he was great. Also thought Milana Vayntrub was very good and hope she does more movies.

Pretty good horror comedy. Even though I wasn't laughing constantly, the characters and plot were really interesting.

This movie is very campy and quite silly at times. I fell in love just a little with Milana Vayntrub as the post-lady. Heaven's to Betsy. This movie is full of kooky characters. Despite the silliness it was fun to watch the idiots like rats in a cage. The monster terrorizing them was some twisty ridiculousness. Many oddball moments. Worth watching, if you are in the mood for a comedy that turns death and tragedy into humor.

Its red herrings are fast and decently fun, but my failure to predict a reveal which should have been obvious was due also to a lack of investment. A mostly harmless (cheaply written “feminism” aside) but unmemorable way to spend an evening.

Sam Richardson and Milana Vayntrub elevate a cast of otherwise flat stereotypes into a fun paranoia romp about werewolves. The metaphor is pretty much the entire point, and if you've seen more than half a dozen movies in your life you'll probably spot the twists, but it's 96 minutes so what's to whine about?

This steals the style from Shaun of the Dead & Clue, but has none of the genre thrills of the former nor the gags of the latter. It's a poor mystery, the editing removes vital chunks of plot, it can't visually tell a story, and there are too many Idiot Ball moments--like getting rid of guns after an important death. It's nice to see Milana go from commercial spokesperson to movie actress (especially with a good rant on Manic Pixie Dream Girls), but that's not enough to recommend a film. Avoid.

This was a fun time waster whose first half is much better than its second half.

Right away it's blatantly obvious who the werewolf is but you'll still have to sit through almost an hour of failed misdirections. You also don't get to see the werewolf until the very end, which is fine, but that builds an expectation that isn't even remotely met (think monkey-kid from Jumanji). As a comedy I think it's passable, even if I didn't laugh once.

Much more of a mess than it needed to be, but considering where the mental state of America is these days, this is exactly how I'd see a werewolf scare escalate.

The first half of the movie is top notch, but things degrade quickly into a cheesy, scattershot whodunit, and the conclusion didn't work for me.

Charming and funny whodunit that, by virtue of its title, is perhaps the best film ever "based on a video game."

Doesn't really excel at anything, but every element (cast, script, look, resolution) is good enough to add up to a very watchable movie.

Enjoyable to a point. Werewolves Within is a competently directed film with an engaging (if derivative) mystery, unfortunately let down by an unfunny and overblown script, plus a quirky and obnoxious ensemble. Sometimes the humour lands, but most of the time all of the characters just blend into a samey mishmash of annoying and overcooked performances.

Well made horror comedy that never becomes truly great but delivers an entertaining movie night along friends.

The concept is intriguing: Agatha Christie style whodunit with werewolves. The snowy surrounding is also a plus, and reminded me of "The Thing", which must have been an inspiration. The film itself is OK, but could have been a lot better. It's done as a horror comedy in the vein of Edgar Wright, and there's too much emphasis on comedy and lack of proper scares. The lead actors were good though and I liked their interaction.

The mail lady was smuggling two packages that were well appreciated. Other than that it's a mildly entertaining, somewhat quirky whodunit.

Passive aggressive comedy with insufferable characters for the first half. Improves once night falls, and I laughed twice, and enjoyed the last line. The reveal is a badly kept secret you'll know 5 minutes in.
