Crazy horse riding, the fight scene in the bar was funny and also John Wayne singing was funny as well.

This feels very cheap and everyone speaks like they're from the '30s which they were, too bad their characters weren't. Trying to make John Wayne a singing cowboy was dumb and using an obvious (and terrible) dub didn't help. When all is said and done this was kind of a dull western only seeing a young and fit John Wayne kept this interesting.

Already in his first film for Republic you can see they had an idea about where they wanted to go with John Wayne's image. Here you see the John Wayne the American emerging. In his first scene in the film he's captured making a speech with a picture of Abraham Lincoln clear in focus. But other aspects of his image was not so successful. They wanted him to be a singing (dubbed) cowboy, and that's not something that was gonna stick. No doubt his best movie since his Warner Bros days back in 1933.
