Westward Passage

Laurence Olivier wasn't very convincing during his first stint in Hollywood, was he? Didn't like the story much either. Simpled down version of a relationship that's much more complicated. Very much Ann Harding type movie where she's torn between men with a yearning for something deeper. She's okay but this is far from her best. Also many respectable character actors appear, but few with any reason to be there at all. So for the most part this was a waste. Bonita Granville's screen debut.
