Seven—count 'em—seven Noomi Rapaces learn a bad Spanish accent (or is it a good Spanish accent? Is it even a Spanish accent?) from Willem Dafoe and then get slowly hacked to bits by emotionless futurecops commanded by a perpetually clay-faced Glenn Close. Because LOVE. Hey! That's my fetish. Dystopian world's gonna dystope.

This wasn't really for me. Too "gritty" seeming. Couldn't care about the romance, probably just because "sexually harassed by cop" isn't a particularly appealing meet-cute to me. Reminded me of the movies The Matrix and Banlieue 13 and the book The Giver. Also was this like, low-key anti abortion or am I reading too much into it?? I'm probably reading too much into it

Even though this movie disappeared from theatres before it even arrived, I for one was kind of hyped about the concept of 7 Noomi Rapace sci-fi sisters. What genius! Although the plot was pretty sucky, seeing all those Noomis - well 2 or 3 good ones at least - made the experience a memorable one. I think I would have enjoyed a movie set one year earlier, where all 7 Noomis just go about their daily business with no guns, violence, sex or explosions.

This is a solid sci-fi movie. Interesting premise, clichee characters and a well done execution. The ending is a bit of a letdown but it's entertaining enough for its runtime. Seven Noomi Rapace are a satisfying amount of Noomi Rapace.

A fun, bombastic sci-fi that is just so charming and well-put-together you forgive it its faults. Noomi Rapace, Marwan Kenzari, and Christian Rubeck do a delightful job as actors. Unfortunately, Glenn Close overdoes it in the villain role; her overwrought performance threatens to ruin the movie whenever she's on-screen--which is rarely, thankfully.

I only wish we had more of Willem Dafoe. Sure, the twist and ending were predictable, but we can swallow that one, can't we? Naomi Rapace is amazing, the viewer can easily get engaged in the different personalities and like/dislike them. Seriously tho, among all the little mishaps of the movie, the Willem Dafoe screen time was the most disappointing.

Interesting concept and writing, but found the main actress to be painfully bland. Also had some plot holes that I found difficult to swallow. Glenn Close also phones it in.

Above average run of the mill sci-fi. The plot twists are obvious and you see them coming, but it doesn't take much away from the movie. Nice acting by Naomi too, it can't be easy to be in character for 7 different characters.

This was actually surprisingly pretty good, though the title might actually give more away than its intention. The best part about this was the ease in which they are able to put all seven sisters on the screen at once. The CGI is seamless and it's quite incredible. Other than that, the story was pretty good and the big story reveal was pretty shocking but didn't do much else but become a fairly stock standard action thriller.

in the vein of cheesy 80s sci-fi's, what happened to monday feels like an aahnold movie (without aahnold in it). even though the premise is pretty ridiculous, the execution is adept, and the pacing is just right for this kind of movie. plenty of shockers abound, the movie doesn't bore at all. good for a low budget niche movie. rapace is okay, except for for her awkward accent.

Despite low PSI expectation I rather liked it. Sure there's lack of polish, fighting is a mess and some scenes are a bit over the top (those beggars just waiting to throw some flaming barrels into officers who are on casual pursuit, rightttt). Also sisters could be developed a bit more. Yea nerd, junkie, brawler and glam queen are obvious but it is too superficial. I guess it's easier to make more shooting acts instead of talking.

I spent most of this film pondering what happened to movies that had an optimistic view of the future. What happened to characters that made smart decisions, were alert and aware of the dangers encapsulating them? Unfortunately, that's not this film; instead, we're presented with dystopian clichés that pose interesting questions, but not new ones. The production is good, but Rapace's role stretches past her acting abilities. The ending felt like a rewrite and the "twists" were predictable.

The premise/world that is built is rather stupid, but the story within said universe is done well. Acting is solid enough from all involved.

The twist can be seen from a mile away, the ending is poorly written, and it touches the subject very superficially, but the idea, production and action are good, and Rapace, playing all seven septuplets, makes the movie work. Glenn Close, although a standard villain, is even better. The future devices in the movie, like electronic bracelets projecting images on the palm's surface so that the palm itself becomes a smartphone, although none of them new ideas, were also executed very well.

A popcorn futuristic movie made for teenagers that have not seen a thriller or a sci-fi movie before. This movie is what I call a good opportunity wasted. The set up was fairly well done but then the script ruined everything by being too obvious and wanted to shock before it even bother to create an emotional bond with the spectator, also it made so little sense that it was laughable at the end.

This had enough crazy bits for me to like it. Utterly ridiculous, of course, but as it's fantasy sci-fi movie, that's not necessary a bad thing. Wish, we'd gotten to know the different characters a little bit better before they started disappearing. Maybe would have made me care more for the story, but as a thriller, What Happened to Monday (2017) works perfectly find for a evenings enjoyment.

a fun and thought provoking sci-fi action, although at times a bit ham fisted. some of the characters a bit underdeveloped but the bittersweet ending is a nice touch.
