Archetypal black-widow/golddigger setup given a spin with a married lesbian couple, and leading to a missed opportunity of a more-interesting face-off than we were given. The protagonist is a blubbering mess of inaction and awful decision making skills that made me long for her to be put out of her misery. We don't need any more gasping, whimpering, weak female leads in horror, and certainly deserved something more fresh for a lesbian character in this scenario.

"What keeps you awake" while you see this movie must be strong as fck. Promising start but as the plot progresses and you wait for that twist, in the end, it never comes. I could not see the whole thing so when 40m was left I skipped in fast forward, believe me, nothing happens.

In my time, it was being a virgin and not falling asleep. Now, it's seems to be the snuggle-fresh pillows disguised as boulders lining the bottom of every cliff in the great outdoors. Watch as every smurf in the forest dies with relative ease...except one who appears to be the daughter of a crash test dummy and one of those sides of beef boxers in Pittsburgh use in training montages.

A cold calculated emotionless female killer no less .....Should be straight up my alley but it's too artsy for my taste and the pacing is Painfully Slow definitely worth a watch but ultimately not my thing

Why would a filmmaker, who is obviously talented, fuck up their story with inane, unforgivable plot twists. The suspense kept me going from start to finish, but barely. I nearly turned it off at least ten times throughout the film for being just so damn stupid.

Just another cabin in the woods story. Nothing scary. More reviews here: http://movie-freak.be

A masterful first act full of adroit camerawork and capped off by a truly shocking shift is somewhat let down by a disappointing reliance on cheap “psychopathy”, a few silly lines (e.g., “Dab, don’t smear!”), and a dragged on and unnecessary second finale. Strong performances, engaging cinematography, and lesbians keep it refreshing and interesting despite its flaws.

Some of the original music here is quite good, but what's notable is that not only do we get a fair chunk of Beethoven's 9th, and an even more extended portion of the Moonlight Sonata, but also the ever faithful Beethoven's 7th, 2nd movement, the use of which has become so common that "cliché" is no longer an adequate term: hackneyed, perhaps? The highly implausible plot decision that occurs about two thirds of the way through makes the rest of the film impossible to take in any way seriously.
