Keaton's last film for MGM and his last starring role in America. It's sad to watch this film, because once great star of silent films is at his lowest point. All through the film he's either visibly drunk or hungover. The subject of the film makes it kind of ironic. Even with Buster in top form this film wouldn't have been much fun. It feels like a product of uncreative never stopping conveyer.

RIP Prohibition 1920-1933! Two bozos making beer! I enjoyed this. Hell, I enjoy any Keaton movie. This is a typical farce comedy, just like The Passionate Plumber (1932) & Speak Easily (1932). Lot's of clumsy stuff and a few cool touches. I would say Durante was the best one in this collaboration and probable his most likable role of the 3 movies the two comedians did together and for a comedy movie of the early 30's it's good.

Keaton was in a real bad way here, you can literally see him shaking in more than one scene, that's not to mention the slurred speech. Even at an all time low he's still funnier than Durante, I'm starting to have a strong distaste for that guy.
