Ozu is the obvious comparison here but this made me think Baumbach more - a cast of aimless deadbeats just trying to make it through life somehow.

Borrowing several elements from the evergreen 'Tokyo Story', What a Wonderful Family! presents similar struggles of human relationships with some lively comedy out of simple scenarios. The conclusion however wasn't convincing enough for me.
