There's nothing here that hasn't been shown or talked about before but I do think it's important to have one of these come out every few years to keep the information readily available.

It's propaganda. It's well-intentioned propaganda but it's still propaganda. It's worth a watch if you're interested in health, dieting, weight loss, nutrition, veganism or related topics. However, keep in mind that, while it is generally factual and true, it is sensationalised and sometimes misleading.

As someone who is sympathetic to this docu's viewpoint, I was disappointed to see that it's content taking the easy route of one-sided propaganda rather than balanced and nuanced information. The general gist of this movie (people in the west eat too much animal products and it's bad for their health) undeniably stands, and it's good that awareness around this subject is being created. However, this movie will only strengthen those who say that vegans are preachy and biased, because it is both.

Vegan propaganda. The scene where the film maker questions the head of the ADA about diet is very telling: the 'studies' that 'prove' that diabetes is caused by dietary fat are hopelessly inconclusive and a classic example of how vegans are stuck in the 70's scientifically. Nearly all the doctors interviewed are vegans, and some of them are falsely presented as experts on common diseases. It's also a very US centric view of the relationship between health, government and industry.

Some vegeterian people wanted to make a documantary. Meat is healthy if it is not at mcdonalds or kfc. Dont worry

Solid documentary. As a vegan for almost ten years, I wasn't sure this film was going to show me anything new, but it did. It beat the same drum as always in veg doc's and had the infographics we've all sen a million times. But, obviously, I agree with its themes and was happily surprised to be horribly surprised with new info about big pharma and modern medicine making meat impossible to crowbar from the American economy or diet.

Like most documentary of this kind, it contains lots of interesting but controversial information. I am left not knowing what to think and powerless to find the truth.

This is a thoughtful examination of our food preferences and the effects of unhealthy eating. It is hard to watch this and not have it modify your opinion that everyone should adopt a plant based food diet. Full of interviews from renowned food experts and it presents the facts in a palatable and informative way. While not particularly ground breaking it is a documentary that everyone should watch for their own good, perhaps multiple times.

Also known as the documentary according to which milk is institutionalized racism. I'm all for plant-based diets, but no one deserves a lecture from someone of Kip Anderson's intellectual stature. Calling him biased and dishonest would be an insult to demagogues everywhere.
