Hopkins as frogman, yes please. Good blocking, editing, music. Even minor characters have their own agendas that the protag must contend with.

Hopkins is great. Not a bad film. Kind of a grown-ups Hardy Boys tale.

Alistair MacLean's own script tried to be snappy time after time. Anthony Hopkins acted pretty James Bond like, but Alain Delon's ex-wife, Nathalie Delon was nothing special.

Top Tip: If you think James Bond you'll be disappointed - see this as something different, stand alone and you'll have a much better film. The script is good, the pace drops a little at times but all in all worth watching. MacLean's novel is faithfully represented and although the 'action' is a little dated there's a lot worse out there. Anthony Hopkins is workmanlike rather than excelling but a good tale.

BlurayRip SADPANDA.
