When the Cat's Away

This is more of a step in the right direction. The short is more charming and jovial than its predecessors (with the exception of Steamboat), with Mickey just being mischievous instead of an obnoxious asshole. More useless triva: this is the first short where Minnie wears gloves, and the first to portray them as actual size mice.

Seeing Mickey in the "real" world was a bit of a trip but otherwise very forgettable.

When the cat's away, the mice will play... music, apparently. A relatively simple batch of musical gags as these go, but cute enough. Mickey and his mouse friends are down to more mouse-like proportions for the purposes of the premise.
