Walter Connolly is someone you'd often see in comic supporting roles. One of the more popular character actors of the 1930s. However on rare occasions he got to show what a versatile actor he was. Here carrying an entire and fairly ambitious movie considering it comes from Colombia Pictures! The result is surprisingly strong emotionally. Doris Kenyon, the short time she is there as his wife is also a key in making this effective. But make no mistake about it. This is Connolly's picture!
