Coming towards the end of Lola Lane's career, she plays the tired underworld dame more associated with Evelyn Brent in these kinds of B-pictures. She plays it in such a similar manner that I had to look twice to see it it really wasn't Brent. So a nice cold role for Lane. The story is a rather sappy tragedy, and not all that great or original. But director William Berke handles it well enough to keep the film flowing.
