Wild Search

The film is very hectic and it takes a while to figure out everything that's going on ad how it all relates. The plot is split between the police drama and romance story elements and it doesn't always mesh well. That being said the performances are solid and it gets intense multiple times during the film. A solid watch for fans of '80s Hong Kong crime films.

HK action from when HK films in this genre were the tops. Lead and durector were then top notch. Watch.

This was a fine combo of crime movie and romantic drama. It does disappoint a bit in the amount of action. But what's there is solid. Most impressed was I by how well the romance is built up. What's generally a trope in police movies is done with care and insight to the characters in this. Which gives Chow Yun-Fat the opportunity to show his acting chops. It made me not only enjoy the final action, but also really feel for the characters.
