Of all the selective interpretation done by the Djinn/screenwriters for the "wishes" in these movies, this one has a set-up where 'Tiny' Lister says "I wish, I could slow dance with you, for one minute, alone, Compton style!" but then we just get an off-screen death...instead of...you know, having a scene where the Djinn LITERALLY slow dances with 'Tiny' fucking Lister!!! Are you kidding me movie? What are we even doing here? You can make a man fuck himself to death, but this is too much to ask?

Whether it's John Cena visiting terminally ill children or evil genies interpreting the phrase "go fuck yourself" too literally everybody loves a wish granter. Somehow this movie doesn't do enough wish granting. Everything is awful except Andrew Divoff and even he's awful.

A fair enough sequel, with some good inventive kills and enough ha-ha to make the movie-watching experience enjoyable. Andrew Divoff still rules as the Djinn....it's a shame he parts from the series after this installment.

Pretty terrible, mostly because it missed a certain meanness the original gleefully exploited. Most of the wishes are bland. Divoff is still a blast as the villain with the cheesiest voice acting ever.

The first one was better. There was a drop in special effects and originality of the kills in the second. They still managed to bring new elements like the jail parts, but their main girl was more boring, and the faith crisis wasted time. One grows to like the Djinn in human form by his charisma alone.

Surprisingly, still a pretty good film after the first. Most of the first sequels in these franchises are so bad, but this time I'm impressed. There are some inconsistancies from the first one, and I think the first one had much better kills and fun, but this one isn't too far behind. Just good, old, cheesy, franchise horror.

This movie wastes a lot of time and fails to have any tension as a result. The film seems to have a much lower budget than the first and its much goofier as well.

Pretty entertaining and funny. The Wishmaster is extremely badass and cool, and there are some fun kills. That woman is annoying though and changes outfit a million times, plus why does she wear those provocative clothes while visiting prison? Does she want to get raped or something?

Solid, almost good, cuckoo horror movie. The djinn look is quite good, but the rest of the effects are weak for a movie from this time period.

Just bad. The first Wishmaster was at least a sfx extravaganza and delightfully campy. This one is just boring and rote.

Divoff is fantastic as the Wishmaster/Demerest again, but most of the rest is dull. To make this movie more entertaining, drink every time Morgana changes outfits.

Jack Sholder is probably the best filmmaker to get the job of writing & directing one of these DTV horror sequels (+ almost certainly the only to cop to hating the first film). It's self-aware but not obnoxious about it (Divoff even breaks the fourth wall amusingly), and wryly funny like Sholder's better movies in riffing on the series concept in various desire-laden locales. Holly Fields is such a vacant lead it's basically a comic hangout film with Wishmaster and his lil' Russian prison buddy.
