Witchery

The premise has potential but is bogged down by poor writing, flat direction, and a bored cast. Snore.

Put this on curious if I'd seen it before - pretty sure I sat through a couple movies starring both Blair & Hasselhoff many years ago. Apparently I had seen it because I vividly remembered the scene where witches sew the woman's lips shut & hang her in the fireplace to roast to death. The rest of the movie drew a total blank - not even the slightest sense of deja vu. Granted it's all pretty bland & forgettable; some nice cinematography though. Worth it if you're a Blair/Hasselhoff completist.

It can be sluggish at times, but there is something in this I like. It helps this film greatly that its cinematography is surprisingly inspired and good for what it is (and it helps that the hotel location with its vast corridors provides a lot to work with). I will also go as far as saying that I found David Hasselhoff charismatic too.
