Without Remorse

Doesn’t add anything to the military action with a dash of political thriller subgenre that you don’t get just as well from Bourne, 24, Homeland, Jack Ryan stuff, etc. Plot twists all predictable if you’ve ever seen a movie before; action scenes all feel like watching someone else play a Call of Duty Modern Warfare game.

Goddamn awful and nothing like the book. Waste of good actors.

I was so excited that Stefano Sollima and Taylor Sheridan would be working together again, so I was looking forward to watching Without Remorse. But the movie was a huge disappointment. They completely changed the book, but they didn't add anything good. The story was cliché, mediocre, and predictable. Even the action scenes were not impressive.

Below average action schlock that would have felt stale even back in the 90s, where this by-the-numbers spy plot belongs. Michael B. Jordan deserved better.

Jordan has a good presence for the flick even if it's not his best performance. It does a good job of making this guy feel unhinged. There are some cheesy parts that break immersion some, but for the most part it's an admittedly by the numbers action thriller. But that's okay, it has some good action and some good thrilling so I was entertained but not impressed.

Some ok action scenes, but didn't find the lead character or anything to be convincing.

Totally entertaining (Tom Clancy material) military action movie.

Super bland Military Revenge Action film that honestly wasn't too different from playing a Video Game in terms of story and execution. The main character was generic, there's a TV movie vibe to the whole thing even though some of the action and production values are okay. Unfortunately, I simply didn't care at all what was happening. Technically it's not bad, but definitely weak, forgettable, and by-the-numbers.

Honestly didn't get why so underrated. Jordan's presence is just everything -- pretty generic political thriller disguised as revenge story about soldier on a explosive quest to find truth about his wife's murder, only to discover shady conspiracy to reignite Cold War fears (Pearce's character says economists won WWII lol) - and Sollima creates at least two brilliant set-pieces (airplane, siege in Russia). All in for a Rainbow Six franchise if it carries on this gloomy but solid 90s action vibe

The characters did not have enough depth. Some of the action was entertaining, but most of this was nothing new and quite forgettable. It passes the time and was not altogether awful, so I guess it was worthwhile.

Beyond Jordan being a notable star this film has nothing else to offer. It's predictable in every way, there is very little development given to any character. It's message is the same as almost every other war movie and the action simply on par as well. It offers nothing really other than being a film that passes by and I know Clancy creates better characters than that so it's a shame this was reduced to so little substance

MBJ is solid. Rest of the cast's acting felt somewhat forced. Would still watch a sequel, but not too invested. 6.2
