Women Are Like That
A typical Francis vehicle of the time was Women are Like That, in which the star is cast as businesswoman Claire King, the daughter of a powerful advertising executive. When Claire marries humble copywriter Bill Landin (Pat O'Brien), she wants to use her influence to help her husband get ahead, but he will have none of it. Claire's persistence and Bill's stubbornness almost leads to a parting of the ways.

Kay Francis and Pat O'Brien have a decent chemistry in that 'man is God' and the woman should be 'totally devoted' way. Ralph Forbes is the sissy rival and naturally made to look as much a fool as possible. Thurston Hall was probable the biggest surprise as the all-play daddy living his life in fun and games and proud of it, and helps make this a good movie even with the frustrating old fashioned mentalities.
